My Photography Business

If you have visited this blog in the past couple of years you probably know that photography has become a huge part of my life. I get so much fulfillment from capturing moments in time. Freezing an emotion, an event, a piece of history, those things fill me with joy and gratitude. To me a photograph is a family heirloom. A true treasure. I love capturing these priceless moments for my own family and am blessed to be able to do so for others.

I am a self-taught photographer in that I have not taken formal college level course work in photography. I have, however, taken workshops, completed online courses, studied many, many  books, worked with some wonderful mentors, engrossed myself in photography forums, and spent countless hours practicing, practicing, practicing!  One of the reasons I so adore this craft is that I am continually evolving as a creator and each new discovery is a thrill and delight!

In 2012, I started a wedding and portrait photography business in an effort to share the joy of photography with others, and to help support my family in the process. I specialize in on location lifestyle portrait and wedding photography.
