Happy Friday friends! I apologize for getting this post up so late. Crazy late. I feel like this week was a blur - between family visits, work, Easter prep, and a 16th birthday in the next couple of days (yikes!).  I'm running all over the place. Time just got away from me, unfortunately. : /

I do have a few shots to share from our busy week though! Including a fun trip to the Aquarium with my Dad, Stepmom, sister, brother-in-law, nice & nephew, Easter egg dyeing with the kiddos and kite flying at the park on a windy day.

Happy weekend friends! I hope your week was awesome. We've been busy trying to keep warm while impatiently awaiting the spring blooms.

We did enjoy a little shenanigans last weekend for St. Patrick's Day! I surprised the family with a festive breakfast. Even the pups enjoyed a wee bit of silliness. I also took my girls out one afternoon (the only semi-warm day this week) to scout a location for an upcoming client engagement session. We hiked a marshy, tidal area near the beach under stormy skies. The girls and I enjoyed our little adventure, and snapped lots of pics. I just hope it warms up again before I shoot that engagement session!

Helllllooooo weekend! How are you my friends? I hope you have had a great week. Winter seems to be hanging on doesn't it? I was hoping to see some spring blooms this week, but it was too dang cold. My dogwoods are budded up and I can't wait for them to open. Hoping the weather warms a bit soon.

We had another mello week, so I have not much that's newsworthy to share. I did have an engagement session last weekend, which was cold, but fun. And my calendar is beginning to fill up for spring/summer. Work will pick up here in a couple of weeks, but I am hoping to be able to take a few weekends off this summer for more family time. My kids are growing up in a blink (my oldest turns 16 in 2 weeks *gasp*), and I really want to carve out more time to make some fun memories with them while we're still all together.

So this week's random is truly random: couple shots of every day nothingness, some wild bohemian dancing from my little hippie girl, and some eggs.

Happy weekend friends! I hope you've had a great week. Our week was rather bland - Girl Scout cookie sales, car repairs, work, school, cold germs - not much to write about. But that's okay by me. I'm trying to be better at being present and just enjoying what is. One day I know I will miss many of the routine tasks that sometimes feel like drudgery. The young (loud) voices, the dirty floors, the piles of laundry, the endless meal making for "starving" bellies... one day it will all settle into quiet memories.  So I will do my best to savor the todays, and enjoy all of these moments while I can.

My 10 year old has shown an interest in learning photography, so I've been teaching her the basics of shooting in manual. We've had fun practicing together. Fortunately, my youngest is usually a willing model. A few pics from this week:

Happy Friday friends! I am afraid I don't have much to share this week. I haven't felt very inspired to shoot, and what I did shoot ended up in the garbage because that's how I felt about it, ha ha. (Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, some weeks are just like that. At least for me anyway.)

With the sickness around here, the rain, and being mostly house bound, I just didn't have much of a spark this week. So, the only pick is a random shot of my youngest girlie and I in the kitchen working on one of her many creations. This girl is always cooking up something - drawing, sewing, painting, knitting, baking, building...she's tried it all! I love that about her. :)
