Happy Friday! I have lots to share this week and sadly I am behind on editing. I've been buried in work and trying to catch up. I have to run off to an appointment this AM, but will come back and update this post later today. Just wanted to get the linky up and wish you all a wonderful weekend!

 Updated to add: We had two big birthdays at our house this week and lots of cake! Hard to believe my kiddos are growing up so fast. : /

Friday Photo Journal, August 18, 2017

Happy Friday friends! I'm running a little behind today, my apologies! I'm up to my eyeballs in work and birthday preparations for Little Miss. I spent most of the week shooting at the beach and editing, editing, editing. I know much of the country has gone back to school already, but we're still in summer mode here. Most days I edit, prepare contracts, tackle admin stuff (cook, clean, launder, child rear, dog wrangle, etc. etc.) and then plant my toes in the sand for a beach session.

I don't have much in the way of personal pics this week, as we didn't do anything noteworthy. I am pretty fortunate to witness so many summer sunsets though. Next week shall be more fruitful.  I'll have birthday pics and baby pics of my new nephew. :)

Hi friends! I'm back from another weekend of travel and it was a loooooooong trip. Successful, but we spent 19 hours in the car so that I could shoot for 7.  It was a butt-numbing ride, but the wedding was gorgeous and the church was amazing!

 I tried to take some pics as we drove through the mountains, but we really didn't have time to stop and sightsee. We hit a big storm on the way there with hail, heavy rain, high winds, even a tornado warning that had us taking cover. On the way back, I was just exhausted and sore, so I didn't get any beautiful mountain shots as I had hoped. 

I went straight from the frying pan into the fire with multiple sessions this week. Rain wreaked havoc on my schedule and I had a sunrise session Thursday AM that had me up at 4 and rushing back home for hubs to head straight to work for an early meeting. It was a gorgeous sunrise though, and I have a couple of shots from that.

Whoa this week went by fast. Probably because I've been insanely busy with work. Last weekend's wedding was fantastic and the whole family had a great time visiting Lynchburg. We had not been before, and we all enjoyed the mountain views for a change! It did wipe me out though, and I've had sessions every day this week. Plus, I have another big wedding weekend this week. I may need a vacation from summer. :)
