Happy Friday friends! This week brought a cold virus and an unexpected trip to the vet for minor surgery. Thankfully, they were both minor nuisances rather than a big deal. Our Bella girl split a nail all the way down to the nail bed and had to have the nail removed to prevent further damage. We're relieved that she is back to her spunky old self now, after just a couple of days.

The rest of us passed around a cold, but I think we're through the worst of it. I'm looking forward to the weekend and basketball games with the kiddos. What's on tap for your weekend?

Happy weekend all! I hope you have had a great week. We're in the thick of basketball season, so we've been shuffling back and forth to practices and games. I also shot a sweet little newborn session last weekend. Otherwise, it was a pretty boring week. And I'm not complaining. ;)

Happy Friday all! It has been an interesting week. We had a blizzard last weekend with temps in the teens and 8" of snow that lasted about 4-5 days. Today it was 68 degrees with a balmy breeze. We went straight from winter to spring in about 48 hours. I wish the warm weather would stick around, but that probably won't happened for a couple more months.

Of course we spent time out enjoying the snow! It's rare to have so much of it here. The kids built forts, made snowmen, pummeled each other with snowballs and did a bit of sledding. They also drank about 5 gallons of hot chocolate. There are no hills around here, but we packed the snow in over the steps to the deck to build a ramp. I even took a few turns on it (and fortunately didn't break anything)! It was fun to be a kid again. :)

Happy New Year friends! I plan to keep plugging along with Friday Photo Journal throughout 2017. I hope to focus more on personal work this year. I would love for you to continue to join me here each week!

By the end of each fall season I'm totally burned out from shooting so many sessions, so the winter brings a welcome lull. I have high hopes of participating in a freelensing P52 this year as well. We'll see how I do come summer when life speeds up. What about you? Do you have any creative projects in the works?

 We're expecting a good dumping of snow - a rare occasion around here. The kids can't wait. :)
