Friday Photo Journal - July 29, 2016

Happy Friday! This week was so crazy hot that we didn't venture out much. Stir-crazy kids at home with 3 pups and loads of work to do...yep, it was a fun week. I'm not complaining though. I do love summer and I have this weekend off, again! Well, I will be working at home, but not running all over town in the heat shooting. #winning

Little Miss asked me to go out one evening to do a "photo shoot" in the yard. Of course I obliged. I grabbed my Helios and we headed out at dusk. It was entirely too steamy to be out before the sun went down. I do love my Helios 44-2 58mm. It doesn't always play nicely with my Nikon camera body, so it can be a bit tricky to shoot, but when I get it right I'm in love.

In other news, my sweet little niece turned two this week! We all enjoyed celebrating with this cutie pie who brings us so much joy. Hard to believe she's the big t-w-o already!

Happy Friday all! This week we hung at the pool for a day- loads of fun! Ate some birthday cake -   makes aging a little more bearable. And, of course, I spent some time at the beach, working that is. I also pulled off the road on the way home to snap some pics of a summer storm.
All in all another busy but fun-filled week. Summer is cruising by. Sure hope it's not over too soon! I still need to work on my tan. ;)

Happy Friday all! I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! We had a great 4th. Despite lots of rain, we did make it out for a quick swim and to see the fireworks show. I shot a wedding at the Virginia Beach oceanfront early in the day, then met hubs and the kids at my mom and stepdad's for some fun. The rest of the week I have been running back and forth to sessions and chained to my desk between for an editing marathon. I feel like I'm 85 years old. Nothing will kill you quicker than sitting. I swear. It is plain awful. Speaking of that, I have a birthday next week and I'm half way to 85. Oy!

Just iPhone pics to share this week. Not much time for creative shooting other than for client work. This time of year gets so hectic I want to pull my hair out. But I don't have much time for that either. Just keep swimming...

Happy Friday all! I hope you are gearing up for a fun-filled weekend! What are your plans for the (holiday if you're in the U.S.) weekend?

I have been to the beach several times this week to shoot. It is kind of a long haul from where I live, especially with evening traffic, so I feel like I've been on the road all week! I have another beach session tomorrow, my 4th this week, then I have a couple of days off before a wedding on the 4th. I'm hoping to squeeze in some pool time with the kiddos! That is, if I can crank out enough editing in the next day.

I haven't taken many personal photos this week - again. Been too busy with work and driving all over town. Just sharing some scenery today - a snap from the beach.
