How we do snow days in the south:
pajama pants under your jeans
a sweatshirt under your "winter" coat
hand-me-down gloves and hats
two pairs of socks in your rain boots
one crazy long day of dressing in layers, snow ball fights, undressing & turning on the dryer for 30 minutes, redressing, sledding, snowman building, undressing & turning on the dyer, hot chocolate, dressing, building forts and more snow ball fights, undressing & turning on the dryer, popcorn and hot chocolate with marshmallows, redressing in mad dash and running out the door to catch your friends to show them your awesome sledding tricks, undressing & turning on the dryer, redressing and going for a walk to talk to neighbors who are also "stranded in the 4 inches of snow," undressing & turning on the dryer, hot cocoa with extra marshmallows, a hot bath and passing out in bed - exhausted and happy knowing that you made the most of your snow day because you might not see another one for a couple of years.
What fun!!
Oh my goodness! I absolutely adore this collection of photos. These would make for beautiful card covers! Such a nostalgic feeling to them. I love each and every one of them! What fun! Ya'll stay warm! xoxo
You described my childhood! I'd forgotten some of it. The photos are lovely.
