Sharing a few more 365 images today. I tried my hand a freelensing this week. It's a bit of work, but I love the effect. Once I figured out how to "prop" open the aperture on a Nikon lens, I wasn't fighting the darkness anymore. The second, third and fifth images were freelensed. I first tried it with my Sigma 35 mm and had trouble getting a good plane of focus AND some cool blur and light leaks. After a little research, I discovered that 50 mm lens is a better choice. It's fun to try something new. It can be frustrating, and I have shot plenty of throw-aways, but I will keep trying. :)
Have you tried any new techniques lately? I'd love to hear about them!
I need to learn how to do this! These are gorgeous!!
Gorgeous!! I have to admit - free lensing terrifies me. The chance of getting something in there - I had lint get in my other body on the mirror - it was a nightmare getting it out. I so wish I could get over it because the result is so beautiful & I would love to try it.
awesome shots .... well done
