Happy Friday all! Fall is finally in full swing around here. I even baked an apple pie this week. We carved pumpkins last night and the kids are super excited to trick or treat. Other than that, it was just another busy week with these crazies.

Well, fall is officially here. Cooler temps, breezy, shorter days. Pumpkins on every door step. I rather like it. Today I had the pleasure of visiting Colonial Williamsburg for a family session. I love it there in autumn. Hot apple cider and ginger cakes take me back to my childhood. Crunching through dry leaves and exploring life long ago. I can't think of a more perfect way to spend a fall day.

Lately Through My Lens

Finally this poor neglected blog is getting a new post! Holiday portrait madness is in full swing and I have been buried in client inquiries, shooting sessions and editing umptybajillion wedding photos in between. It has been several weeks since I have posted any of my recent work here, so today I'm sharing some peeks at the sessions I have been shooting and editing. I have been blessed to shoot at some gorgeous locations so far this fall, and tomorrow I get to shoot in Colonial Williamsburg as well. It's so lovely this time of year - I can't wait!

Happy Friday all! I'm celebrating by getting a new furnace/AC unit. Isn't that swell? Makes ya feel all  warm and fuzzy right before the holidays, right? Last week I treated myself to a new set of brakes. Ho Ho Ho - Happy Holidays!  Okay, enough sarcasm. Sorry, I'm a bit delirious and cross-eyed from editing wedding galleries for days. October has been an interesting month. 

I'm ready for hibernation now.

Friday Photo Journal - October 10, 2014

Hi there friends, I hope you all have had a wonderful week! We enjoyed some cooler fall temps and a few more amber leaves. Other than our usual activities, it's been all work and school around here though. The kids are getting very excited for Halloween. We did managed to put up a few decorations and back a ghost cake (we do that every year.)  I guess it is right around the corner so we had better get our costumes in order. Not until I after I have survived this weekend's 14 hour wedding day though!

Sharing a few pics of my girl playing outside this week. This one still gets super excited over little things. It is not uncommon to hear shrieks of joy over what we're having for dinner, or the fact that I washed her favorite shirt. She is my reminder that life should be celebrated daily. 

And for that I am so grateful. :)

Hi friends! Happy Friday and welcome to October. :)  I hope you have all had a great week! I apologize for the late posting. I'm a bit under the weather today. Looks like I'll have to drag myself through a busy weekend. Though the temps are still in the 70s, fall is starting to make it's way into the foliage here. I love the rusty reds and can't wait for the vibrant orange and yellows! What's it like in your neck of the woods?

I only have a couple of snaps to share this week. Can't wait to see what you've been up to!
