P52 - Week 39

Happy Monday friends! Busy season just keeps getting busier! I did manage to take some time out with the kids last week and throw together a quickie photo session in the back yard with my girls (more to come later).

We also had a chance to head out with my mom, aka Nana, on Sunday to build a scarecrow to benefit charity. The kids loved it and it was a welcome reprieve from work for me. They affectionately named our scarecrow "Rick Monster Mash." Stay tuned and he might make an appearance in this week's Friday Photo Journal. ;) Here are a couple of pics I took of the girls during our mini session. I loved shooting two of my favorite models again! What have you been up to?

We had a busy week of homeschooling, computer malfunctions, car repairs, a neighborhood fire (minor incident, but major excitement for the kids), birthday celebrations, Girl Scout meetings, errand running, and fall foliage gazing.

Little Things Thursday - Concentration

Hey look! It's a photograph of one of my own children, and it's not an iPhone photo! Wonder's never cease ;)  I kicked some editing tail today, knocked out another gallery and finally carved out some time to play with my camera and my kiddos...now I'll be up all night editing another gallery, but it's worth it to have this:

P52 - Week 38

Hello friends! I have been hunkered down in my office editing several sessions - and bridals, which I can't wait to share! Unfortunately, I am having computer problems again. Ugh! I think my video card is going bad and one side of my screen is much darker than the other - wreaks havoc on editing and the eyeballs! So, off to the Mac Specialists goes my machine today :( Super sad face. And, once again I am waaaaay behind on blogging. Sigh. I love working, but I truly am looking forward to some down time after the busy season, so I can reconnect with all of you!!

Friday Photo Journal - Week 40

Happy Friday friends! I hope you have had a great week! Friday snuck up on me this week...I was almost off to bed when I realized what day it was, lol. Here are my favorites from this week. They are from our trip to Busch Gardens on Saturday. The best part of the day was watching the kids watch their dad ride this monster.

WW- Favorite Family Session on the Beach

I have been crazy busy with homeschooling, child-rearing and work! I usually school/clean during the day, return emails/send out contracts in the evening and edit into the wee hours of the night. I rarely even get to blogging anymore :(  But, I am growing and learning and creating, and that, I love. I just hope I can keep my sanity in tact during all the crazy long days! 

I thought I'd share one of my recent favorite sessions on the blog, (since I rarely have time to edit photos of my own family :). This family was so sweet! Mom even gave me flowers after our shoot.

 I have done a lot of beach sessions this year, and I think this might just be my favorite to date.

P52- Week 37

Well, I am a little late to this week's P52 party, but I do have a post to share, finally.
We had a fantastic weekend. Saturday my Dad and stepmom treated us to a full day of fun at Busch Gardens. It was a gorgeous day out and we really had the best time. My younger sister and her husband and my niece were able to go too, so we had a great big family group and it was wonderful to spend the time together. What a treat! The kids absolutely loved it. I was shocked when my two middles headed straight for the Loch Ness Monster roller coaster! They were so excited! I have to say though, they are braver than I am. I don't ride roller coasters unless they are kiddie sized, lol.

I wanted to spend the day enjoying family rather than babysitting an expensive DSLR, so I only have phone pics, but here are a few highlights from our day. :)
