I loved, loved, loved making crafts and taking art classes when I was a kid. I'll admit that now that I'm older I have less patience for the mess it creates. That makes me a little sad. I don't want to be the frumpington that doesn't let her kids explore and create because she's too worried about being tidy. So, I try to reign in my urge to banish the glittery sprinkles and paint-smeared fingers. It does my heart good to watch them at work. I know one day my house will be tidy and I will miss the mess and chaos of free spirited children.

I was pretty easy about crafts, but glitter? Everyone is uptight about glitter!
ReplyDeleteOh glitter! I was never an insanely crafty person as a kid. Now I dream about all those projects I see on pinterest haha
ReplyDeleteOh- I have never been too fond of the messes from crafts. My MIL used to get upset because we never let the kids get dirty. :) But now that they can clean up after themselves- they understand & create less of a mess knowing it's on them to pick up :)
ReplyDeleteIn spite of the mess, these are the very best of days. I used to so enjoy watching my kids create with just some paper, crayons, and glue. Their imaginations are so amazing at this age.
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to let creativity out with abandon. I think it is because Moms know how hard it is to stay on top of messes. Especially those of us home with them all day. I get tense every time my kids want to paint, but it is good to let them do it some. You did good, Mama! These are cute images.
ReplyDeleteHello! I wish you a successful new week.
