It isn't often that I get to photograph my 11 year old. As I have mentioned before, he's not too crazy about being in the limelight. But, yesterday he surprised me by asking me to take photos of him! He's been scootering like crazy the past week or so on his Razor scooter and trying new tricks...which make me nervous...but I welcomed the opportunity to capture him doing what he loves.
He didn't want me to share many of the photos, but I got the okay to post this one. Technically, it's not the best shot, but I love it anyway...because he loves it :)
He's also been asking for a Go Pro camera. I think that would be an awesome creative outlet for him, but it makes me nervous to think of all the crazy tricks he'll try to do to get some cool footage. It is purchase that will have to wait for now. I am curious though, do any of you have one? If so, what do you think about it?
Linking up with Kim today for:
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Oh, I do know about the GoPro cameras!
My son wanted one for Christmas, and he is 24, which means a car and not a scooter. He did just buy himself a gas-powered scooter though. The worrying never ends! :-)
This is a great shot, Melissa!
I never heard of a GoPro. I'll have to check it out...not that I can afford any more photo gear!
I can feel both your pride and fear in this image! I love the shot. So much movement. We have two razor owners here now, and I can't relax. :)
I don't know about Go Pro. Gonna look it up.
Great action photo. It makes me glad I did not have a boy.
Did I say I love your blog!!! I love your blog!
look at the air!
Very impressive to see your kid doing that kid. Though as a parent, we do get scared seeing them doing those.
