Spring continues to bless us with an abundance of blooms. I captured many of them this week. Unfortunately, the mild weather has also blessed us with an abundance of mosquitos and those suckers love me. They are really awful here, and despite the bug spray, the mosquito magnet in the yard, the Bounce dryer sheets I stuff in my pockets and the Off fans I wear, I still get eaten alive. I braved the bites for some gorgeous blooms this week, however. Ah, the price of photography! Here's one of my favorites:
Thanks for visiting. Have a great weekend!
Very Pretty Flower! I love the color of it.
So beautiful.
What a gorgeous flower!
Very pretty capture.
Such a great bloom, wonderful ..
Best regards, Karin
What a beautiful flower! Nice shot. :)
Okay- the photo- GORGEOUS!
As for the mosquitoes- as someone that is married to the person that deals with the West Nile threat for the county- I know that they are attracted to the carbon dioxide that you are breathing out. The only thing that works a little is the products containing DEET- but even that is questionable. I wish I had better suggestions- but nothing really works unfortunately.
That photo is gorgeous. I love the detail you captured. :)
So pretty! Love that vibrant blue.
I have no mosquito tips, they love me too.
We used to live in Florida and I hate, hate,HATE mosquitos! Yuck! Good for you for braving them - and what a gorgeous shot you got for your courage! Well done! Oh - and about your self portrait comment you left on my blog. Please do start taking them! I think it is such a wonderful thing to do - not only as a photography project but as a way to make sure your family has photos of you doing all the things you love to do. My self portrait club runs every week on Friday and you can post anytime during the week. Please join us!! xoxo
That's a beautiful iris! At least you have something to show for your battle with the mosquitoes.
Love the vibrant colours!
