It's the fourth week of the Poetic Winter Photography challenge already. I don't have anything spectacular to share. In fact, I've been pretty disappointed with my photography lately. I feel like the more I learn, the worse I get, lol. Perhaps I am just developing a better eye and therefore I can discern how badly I sometimes do things. I have been studying and practicing, only to find I'm coming up short. At any rate, I have been frustrated and feeling less than inspired. So, I only have a few images to share for this challenge. Hopefully I'll find my mojo soon.

We all go through bad mojo, but your photos are bright and cheerful. You'll get out of your funk soon. These are great pictures so I can't wait to see what you have goin on once your mojo gains momentum.

I absolutely understand what you mean when there isn't that inner feeling of happiness with the result. In saying that though whenever I come to your site, I consistently see work that is inspiring and wonderful and clever. (and that is meant sincerely not for the purpose of making you feel better) Like this series for example - the smile on your little one's and the fact that she's got here eyes closed is entirely gorgeous, as well as the last shot with her walking away. And your second shot is so beautiful with the sun lighting up the whole picture, and the natural and in the moment feel to it with your daughter's hair blowing over her face.
Absolutely lovely. I know it's not fair to compare but I'll be incredibly proud of my photos, see the other submissions and get discouraged. I think these challenges both force and encourage you to do better.
Love the second one with her bautiful hair, great colors. Children are so beautiful. These are great, don't be too hard on yourself.:)

I also find that as I learn more I am more critical of myself...
But I challenge you to just go with it. Don't worry so much about rules. And embrace your mistakes. Some of my favorite photos are totally wrong in every sense of the word, yet I love them.
