Monday Rewind Blog Hop

Greetings bloggy friends, and Happy Halloween!  My pics this week include our latest activities...finding a black widow on the garage window sill...eek! It's not the greatest pic, but it was a tough angle and I didn't want to get too close.  We also enjoyed some gorgeous weather, a Halloween party, and a beautiful 5 mile hike.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Hello friends! I hope you've all had a great weekend! I was excited to hunt for this week's prompts, but in the end felt like I came up a little short. Sigh. For example, when we were hiking yesterday I saw the tree I wanted to photograph for the last prompt, but it just didn't turn out as dramatically as I had envisioned.  I felt the same way about most of these pics. But it's all a learning process, right? And I am enjoying the journey!

Favorite Photo of the Week

The other day at the soccer fields, I was practicing shooting portraits of the kids. There was a great breeze and the sun was setting. I love the way this picture of my older daughter came out. I think it really captured her mood in the quiet moment as she was playing by herself and picking dandelions. In the past year she's become much more independent. The more I take pictures of her, the more I see glimpses of the young woman to be.

Thursday's Shots

Greetings friends! Is it Thursday already? This week is flying by. We have enjoyed some beautiful weather lately, but I hear the cold and gray will be here tomorrow. I do love Fall but really dread winter. Fortunately we only have a short winter here, but those gray days really give me the blahs. 

So, for now, I'm soaking up the golden sun, the fresh air and those rich Fall colors.
