The cicadas have been busy around here lately...and noisy! The kids found this guy out by the garage the other day.
Any day is a good day to swing.

And this one. This is the one that was a huge disappointment. The bees have been busy out by our salvia bushes. I really wanted to capture one in flight. I had a few minutes the other morning before the kids woke up and I dashed out back with my camera and snapped away. This blurry shot was the best I managed. My shutter speed was too slow. I will definitely try again and nail this one! I'm on a mission now ;)

Growing up, we called cicadas "July Flies"...probably a southern thing. They really are so noisy, huh!?
