Greetings bloggy friends! Welcome to this edition of Aloha Friday, one of my favorite memes. Let's get right down to business shall we?
My question this week: Can you go home again? Do your parents still live in the house you grew up in?
Mine do not. I actually don't live far from where I grew up and our old house is still there, but my parents sold it when I was in high school. My husband's mother lives in the house he grew up in and we visit often. I know it means a lot to him to be able to go back, even if it's not the same as it used to be. Life does go on...
There are times when I really wish I could visit my old home and show my kids where I slept and played and opened Christmas presents. What about you? Can you go home again?
yes I am glad that we can still go home... my parents still live in the same house!
I wish! My mom just passed and dad has sever dementia. Enjoy your parents while you can.
Have a great Friday.

My mum still lives in the house I grew up in
We grew up between Athens, Greece and Helsinki, Finland so no :(
I still - after 20+ yrs - have dreams about our home in Finland, how emotional it would be to visit, but I have not had a chance to do that. Yet.. How lucky you and your husband are.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Found you through MBC and now following your blog!
I am becoming a mother soon, and would love any advice other moms have who have already experienced what I am currently experiencing. I would love to hear from you! :)
Have a great Friday!

My Dad died about 16 years ago. But my Mom still lives in the same house I grew up in! My divorced sister actually lives with her too.
So I can still go to the same house. It will be sad someday when we probably will have to sell it though.
My parents live in the house I lived in when I was in high school. We moved when I was 16 so I only live their a couple years. It is home but not really the home I remember growing up in.
No, I grew up in a military family so we moved every few years. My parents are retired in Texas now.
I come from a huge family. Oldest of 8 and it seems we we're out growing our house every year so we moved a bit so it would be hard to nail down "what I house I grew up in" but tn where are two houses that come to mind.
One in VA that we built and then sold and moved to MD 6 years later (age 16) and then the house I lived in when I met my husband and moved out on my own. BUT my parents don't live there any more either!
I actually am currently "back home" with my parents again (and my toddler) because my husband is on an extended business trip (deet on my blog)
So I guess in short I can go back home again, I guess. Maybe. Sorta. I dunno

No...actually we have just bought a house in November that has a "mother-in-law" house so my mom came to be here with us. She hadn't lived in the place where I grew up for many years though. But were all here together and nothing could be better than that. :)
