Check out this fun American Sing Language Widget I found. I wanted to add it to my side bar but it doesn't fit well. Plus I've been having trouble with slow loading pages...sigh. Big changes are coming. Please bear with me!
In the mean time, I thought I'd put it in a post and pass on the fun. I have used Sign Language with all of my kids and it has been a lot of fun and a useful learning tool. I studied ASL in college for a while on my way to an Interpreter degree, which was cut short by baby #2. Maybe someday, it's on my to do list :D
Have you used ASL in your home? Just curious. Baby Sign was huge with my first 2. It's not as HOT on the market today, but still a wonderful language to share with your children. I am working on another post on the subject so stay tuned for more :D
Oh yeah, lots of makeup, girl, lol!
Yes, my children and I all know
ASL. My friend is an ASL teacher, and her husband is deaf.
She taught classes in her home and we took them. So now we have lots of people we can talk to and keep our skills up!

Hi there!
I'm just stopping by to thank you for signing up to take the comment challenge this month.
Good luck!
That is cool. I also took ASL in college, even though I forgot a ton. We started using it with my daughter, and she has fallen in love with all the "Signing Time" DVDs. She asks for them everyday!
I signed with both my children and loved it. In fact, we found the whole being able to "communicate with your baby before your baby can talk" such an amazing experience that I eventually trained and got certified to become a Baby Signs® instructor myself. One of the best things I ever did. :)
I never did sign language with my kids. Mostly because they were talking before age 1. So I saw no need at that point...but...they have learned it through school (somewhat) and I know alittle (used to know a lot but can't remember most)
I think everyone should learn it really. Loved this post.
Wow, that's really cool!
I did ASL a lot with my kids when they were babies. We've waned a little bit, but they still like to use it every once in a while. We LOVE Signing Time!
