Perigee Moon Friday December 12th, 2008
Wednesday, December 10, 2008
This Friday night the sky will be aglow with the biggest and brightest full moon of the year. If you have clear skies overhead, check out the moon several times during the evening and night and take an opportunity to discuss this occurrence with your kids. This Friday's full moon will be 14 % bigger and 30% brighter than the other full moons of this year.
It would be a great night to sit outside and sip some hot cocoa and enjoy some family time together. Learn more about the perigee moon at Nasa.com.
